Accountant – Trading Company

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join a reputed trading company based in Tinsukia. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for individuals with strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation who want to build a stable career in the finance sector.

The Accountant will ensure accurate bookkeeping, timely GST filing, and proper reconciliation of accounts while supporting overall financial management of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily books of accounts including purchase, sales, and expense entries
• Handle GST return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and ensure compliance
• Prepare and verify invoices, vouchers, and payment records
• Perform bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation
• Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements
• Monitor outstanding payments and coordinate with vendors/customers
• Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and statutory regulations

Eligibility Criteria

• B.Com or Graduate in Commerce/Finance
• 1–4 years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and accounting principles
• Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, or other accounting software
• Attention to detail and good numerical ability
• Honest and responsible work attitude

Salary & Benefits

• ₹15,000 – ₹28,000 per month (based on experience)
