Late-Night Patrol Leads to Arrest of Snatching Suspects in Kadapa
A routine patrol by the Two Town Police Station led to the arrest of three suspects involved in a chain-snatching racket on Tuesday night near RTC Bus Stand. According to police officials, the gang had been targeting women and commuters traveling late in the evening in crowded areas. Acting on complaints filed over the past week, a special team monitored CCTV footage from surrounding shops and identified a motorbike repeatedly seen near the incident spots. On Tuesday, the police intercepted the bike during a late-night patrol and recovered several stolen gold chains, mobile phones, and cash. The suspects are believed to be part of a larger group operating across Kadapa and nearby towns. Police officials stated that further investigation is underway to trace other members and verify if the gang is connected to similar cases reported recently. City residents appreciated the swift action, while police urged the public to stay alert and report suspicious activity immediately.
