A major state health drive has expanded its outreach in Tinsukia, with medical teams intensifying door-to-door services in both urban wards and rural pockets of the district. The initiative focuses on routine immunisation, maternal and child healthcare, tuberculosis screening, and awareness campaigns on seasonal diseases. Health workers, including ASHA and Anganwadi staff, have been deployed to ensure wider coverage and early detection of health concerns.
District health officials stated that the expanded drive aims to improve vaccination rates and strengthen primary healthcare access, particularly in tea garden areas and remote villages. Free health check-ups, distribution of essential medicines, and awareness sessions on hygiene and nutrition are being conducted as part of the program. Authorities expressed confidence that the campaign will significantly boost public health indicators in Tinsukia and support the state’s larger healthcare improvement goals.
