Tinsukia, Assam – In a major boost to industrial growth and regional development, foundation stones were laid for four significant industrial projects at the Plastic Park in Tinsukia. The initiative aims to strengthen the district’s economic base by promoting value-added industries and creating new employment opportunities for local residents.
The four upcoming units include a Herbal Extraction Unit, a North-East Spices Manufacturing and Value Addition Hub, a Woolah Tea Factory, and a Biotechnology Plant. These projects are designed to utilize the rich natural resources of the region, particularly in agriculture, tea production, and herbal plants, while introducing advanced processing and manufacturing techniques.
The development marks an important step toward diversifying Tinsukia’s traditional economy and positioning the district as an emerging hub of industrial innovation and sustainable growth in Assam. Once operational, the projects are expected to generate direct and indirect employment, encourage entrepreneurship, and attract further investment in the region.
